How Cannabis kill Cancer Cells in the Body

Common Signs of heart attack before one month, Many Countries that think ahead have recognized the healthy benefits of cannabis. The latest law on the legalization of medical and recreational marijuana was in Canada in October 2018.

How CBD oil helps in apoptosis

Apoptosis is a natural process in the body where the cells are destroyed as part of the growth of a particular organism. As mentioned, cancer cells grow as an abnormal process in the body because they no longer recognize body signals that stimulate or destroy cell growth.

As these cells grow and divide, they become uncontrolled. And since they no longer respond to apoptosis, they tend to accelerate cell proliferation and ignore other signals from “normal cells.” Therefore, the endocannabinoid system is an extremely important system in the body, as it also helps in the modulation of cell growth and death.

As cancer cells reproduce faster than the endocabinoid system can withstand, cancer cells attack normal tissues and spread throughout the body. This process is called metastasis.

The endocannabinoid system has two primary receptors. One is the CB1 receptor, which is mainly in the brain, and the other is the CB2 receptor, which is primarily found in the immune system.

THC is an active compound in cannabis that binds to CB1 receptors and is responsible for mood, behavior, and other brain functions. On the other hand, CBD binds to CB2 receptors and tells these receptors if there are “attackers” that are harmful to the body.

The apoptotic process of these receptors is achieved by the de novo synthesis of ceramide and sphingolipids that stimulate cell destruction.

When they bind together, receptor activation can help the endocannabinoid system to signal an antitumor alert. Which means, it reduces the development of cancer through inhibition of reproduction, metastasis and tumor angiogenesis.

Although further studies have yet to be studied to prove these claims, cannabinoids in cannabis oil have undoubtedly helped patients suffering from cancer in one way or another.

Patients with chemotherapy also turned to cannabis oils to alleviate their post-chemotherapeutic effects such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, inflammation, neuropathic pain, immune suppression, and loss of appetite. Post by
