FALSE SALVATION DOCTRINE

Theo Wolmarans is teaching double false doctrine in his book called” the Blood Covenant“. In The first false doctrine he claims that Melchizedek is Christ Pre-incarnate. This false doctrine comes from the Gnostic teaching and also from a Christian sect. The second false doctrine is that tithing is a “covenant act “to pay for one’s salvation. I give a few scriptures to disprove this false doctrine of securing or paying for your salvation with the Tithe. This false doctrine is all based on the incorrect interpretation of Melchizedek’s identity. The true Identity of Melchizedek is debatable. However to explain it in simple terms he is a type of Christ. To explain this false teaching of Christ pre-incarnate let’s look at Genesis 14.

And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. (Genesis 14:18 KJV)… the original Hebrew uses the world El Elyon for Most high God.Which has its origins in the Phoenician language, who worshiped El, a pagan Canaanite deity.

And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. (Genesis 14:20 KJV)… the original Hebrew says the best from the top, so it cannot mean the same as the Biblical tithe of Malachi.

Theo says that Abraham gave Melchizadek (Christ) a tenth, and interprets this as a covenant act. The covenant act refers to giving from both sides according to Theo. Christ giving his blood and body (bread and Wine) and Abraham giving a tenth of the spoils of war. So in fact what he is saying is one must pay a tenth to the Christ (Church) in return for salvation (the blood and Body). This is a heretical teaching. Ephesians corrects this false belief.

2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

There is no covenant act of giving to earn or pay for ones salvation. There is a concept of a covenant act in the Bible. The covenant act in the Old Testament was circumcision and not giving of a tithe to a king Priest. God did make a covenant with Abraham, but it was one sided covenant(unilateral covenant). God (Yahweh) even provided a ram for the sacrifice. The Bible further says we can’t use gold or money to pay for our salvation. Theo’s covenant understanding is based on pagan covenants and not Jewish covenants. In the New Testament, Jesus made a unilateral covenant. The word covenant (Latin) was translated from the Greek word Testament. A Testament comes into effect when somebody dies.

1Pe 1:18 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;”

Paul says in Galatians 3:1 who has bewitched you to believe another gospel. Another gospel is a gospel by law and works of the flesh. People feel guilty if they don’t pay tithe. If they sin they can at least pay tithes to cover their guilt and “pay for their sins.” This is what is happening at the subconscious level. We can never pay for our own sins with good works or money. This is human nature to try make right with God and obey commandments. Theo and CFC argue that if you love God you will obey .

This tithing scripture is referring to the Pharisees who were still under the law and still serving in the Temple system with sacrifices. Biblical hermeneutics are ignored in Theo’s interpretation. Some basic Bible rules for correct interpretation are audience relevance and historical context.

So Jesus was speaking to those under the law and temple system and not to the modern day church or even the Church of Acts. Jesus had not died yet, so the laws and tithing was still in effect. Even the book of Hebrews must be read in context. Otherwise we will make up new doctrines.

It is absurd to think that Jesus receives tithes in Heaven. What would He do with all that money? No, man is the one that needs money. Truly the devil and his deception is active in the church with such false doctrine. Trying to make people pay for their salvation is really heretical.Just like in the days of Martin Luther in the Dark Ages. Martin Luther spoke against this evil of his day, which was also taught by the Catholic Church.

Theo also says life equals money. This is his own subjective interpretation of what life is. This is incorrect as the Bible says life is the blood or blood is life. Again Jesus gave His life and we give our lives ie the living part of us which is made up of Spirit, Soul and body. Your life can also mean the time spent on earth.

Do you live for God or for yourself.Time is exchanged for money to live in this world. But we can’t exchange money for eternal life. The Bible says we are in this world and not of this world. Money is of this world, and not of Heaven. Don’t let anybody deceive you that you need to pay for your Eternal salvation with the Tithe. Salvation is a free gift received by faith only.
